Qualifications and Experience
1999 Earned a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education
2000-2001 Gained teaching experience as a third grade teacher in Sandy, Utah in the Jordan School District
2006-2013 Organized co-op preschools and participated with neighbors in teaching lessons and preparing children to begin kindergarten
2014-2017 Opened Running Start Preschool and began teaching preschool classes to pre-kindergarten students
2021- Reopened Running Start Preschool (after having two additional children and taking a few years off)
My Family
About Me
I am a happy wife and mother of seven great kids. I love being a wife and mother--it's the job I've always wanted to do! When choosing a field of study in college, my dad encouraged me to choose something that would help me to be a good mom. I chose Elementary Education, and it has been a blessing and benefit in every way. Working with other neighborhood mothers, I have been able to teach preschool classes to my four oldest children in a structured co-op setting. In the fall of 2014, when it was my then youngest child's turn for preschool, I decided to start my own preschool in my home. It has been a marvelous decision! I loved being his preschool teacher every day and also teaching other fantastic children! I love teaching preschool!
In 2017 and 2018, we welcomed two additional children into our family and I have enjoyed teaching them, along with other preschoolers!
